25 Christmas Gifts for a Healthy Lifestyle

Finding the perfect gift for someone can either be extremely easy, or the hardest task on my to-do list (yah hear me?)!  Some years I’m completely inspired by something and I know the perfect gift to give…while other years I am totally stumped!  I have quite a few fun ideas this year and I thought I’d share 25 Christmas (or any holiday) gift ideas that add to a healthy lifestyle.

1. Stainless Steel Measuring Cups and Spoons

measuring spoons

If you are doing your own baking, then measuring cups and spoons are a must!  I guess, unless you’re a pro baker and can just eye-ball it all 😉  These stainless steel measuring utensils are fun and colorful and hold up better than plastic.  They are a great gift for anyone wanting to do more baking/cooking or simply try new recipes.

2. Wooden Cooking Utensils

wooden utensils

I prefer wooden cooking utensils to anything plastic.  They are safe to use at high temperatures and you don’t have to worry about plastic leaching into your food.  These are a great gift for anyone who loves to cook or wants to start cooking at home more often.

3. Silicon Cupcake Liners

I use silicon cupcake liners in my baking ALL the time!  These bright cupcake liners are completely non-stick and don’t generate waste like paper liners.  Anyone who loves to bake cupcakes and/or muffins will love using these.  (They work well for making homemade peanut butter cups and coconut butter cups too ;))

4. Food Processor

food processor2.jpg

I use my food processor every week.  I don’t know how I survived before owning one – well, actually I do…I NEVER baked back then!  I think a food processor is a must-have if you are really into baking and cooking your own foods.  I use mine mostly for making crackers, breads, nut butters, muffins, and thick smoothies.  This 11-cup Cuisinart is the one I own.  It is large enough and powerful enough to handle all the ingredients I need in my home baking.  I have had mine for 4 years and never had a problem with it!  The blade is still in perfect condition as well.

5. Spiralizer

Spiralizers are wonderful tools for making healthy noodles (zoodles, beet noodles, butternut squash noodles, carrot noodles..) and fun shaped foods.  The one linked here is very similar to the one I own and use to make most of my zoodle (zuchini noodle) dishes.  I recommend a spiralizer for anyone that is looking to get in more veggies or swap out higher carb dishes for something more low-carb.

6. Ellie’s Best Nut Milk Bag

nut milk.jpg

These nut milk bags are made from fine Italian nylon mesh with triple nylon seams which make them strong, durable and versatile.  This would be a great gift for anyone interested in making their own nut milk, juicing, sprouting, straining yogurt or making cold brew coffee.  If you are interested in purchasing one (or a few) you can use my discount code “katie10” for 10% off your purchase on their website.

7. Glass Storage Containers

glass containers.jpg

I know a lot of people that use plastic storage containers for leftover food/meal prep and I quite honestly I don’t get why!  Glass is naturally free of BPA, it’s microwavable and lasts a lot longer than plastic…plus, you don’t have plastic breaking down in your food.  I admit, I do have a few plastic storage containers at home that I use but for dry foods only (like my baking flours, rice, quinoa).  I always keep our leftovers in glass containers.  This way, my husband can easily heat up his lunch at work and I don’t have to worry about the ill effects of plastic getting into his food.  These storage containers are relatively inexpensive and a great way to make a small shift towards a healthier lifestyle.

8. Insulated Water Bottle

water bottle.jpg

You can never have too many water bottles…especially if they are stainless steel and insulated!  I keep a water bottle next to my bed and drink from it every time I wake up to nurse my baby.  I also carry a couple insulated water bottles in the car with me so that my son and I are never short on water.  Healthy Human has a variety of colors, shapes and sizes to choose from and they are a great quality.

9. Stainless Steel Cups

Steel cups.jpg

Stainless steel is great!  Besides ceramic coffee mugs, it’s my favorite form of drink-ware.  It’s free from: BPA, plastic, lead, phthalates, and aluminum.  Stainless steel is also extremely durable (kid-proof) and eco-friendly.  I use cups similar to this for myself and my family.  Anyone looking to move away from plastic should give these a try.

10. Wooden Kid Plates

wooden plates.jpg

Wooden plates are great for kids (okay, adults too)!  I use plates similar to these for my children.  I prefer wooden plates over plastic ones because they are naturally BPA, plastic, and phthalates free.  They hold up well with proper oiling and drying on a flat surface.

11. PlanetBox Lunch Box

planet box

These PlanetBox Lunch Boxes are fun, neatly arranged, well made and great for kids.  Whether school-aged or not, these lunch boxes make packing meals fun.  They have divided compartments and the ROVER (this version) comes with 2 containers, magnets and a soft carrying bag.  These lunch boxes are made out of safe, non-toxic, and recycled materials – safe from lead, PVC, phthalates, or BPA.

12. Nut Butter Variety Pack

Nut Butter squeeze packs are great stocking stuffers.  For someone who absolutely LOVES nut butter, this Justin’s Nut Butter variety pack would be a fun gift.  This package includes one of each flavor.  (I would recommend buying individual packets in-store rather than online because it’s a lot cheaper.)  I also love Barney Butter.

13. Bhu Foods Protein Bars

Protein bars are great on-the-go snacks and make fun stocking stuffers.  Bhu Foods Vegan protein bars are one of my favorite brands.  They are made with simple, real-food ingredients and have many different flavors to choose from.  I have only tried their Vegan bars but they carry Paleo and Primal friendly ones as well.  I love taking these bars with me when I travel or need a quick, satisfying snack and don’t have time to prepare something.  My personal favorites are the Peanut Butter White Chocolate, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.  If you make a purchase, be sure to use my Bhu Foods discount code “RABBIT” for free shipping.

14. Assorted Organic Teas

There are a lot of great tea companies and flavors to choose from and getting assorted teas is a fun gift for anyone who likes a hot cup of tea, especially during the cold weather months.  I am a big fan of Numi Organic, but love a lot of other brands as well.

15. Eating Evolved Chocolate

Eating Evolved has some of the best chocolate on the market (in my opinion).  Their chocolate is gluten free, dairy free, soy free, Paleo & Vegan friendly.  They offer a variety of chocolate bars, coconut butter cups, coconut butter, Keto cups and a few seasonal treats as well.  Any chocolate lover would enjoy Eating Evolved products.

16. Ottos Naturals Cassava Flour

Otto’s Naturals Cassava Flour is an excellent nut-free, grain-free and gluten-free flour.  Cassava flour is a must-have for my kitchen and I really enjoy baking with it.  This would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys baking or wants to get into baking; especially if they are gluten/grain free.

17. Organifi Protein Powder

Organifi Complete Protein comes in vanilla and chocolate and is a delicious protein powder that is organic, non-GMO, Vegan and free of gluten, soy and dairy.  It is sweetened with coconut sugar, stevia and monk fruit extract and has an organic protein blend consisting of: pea, quinioa and hemp.  I use this protein powder almost daily and love it!  My favorite flavor is the chocolate.  This is an excellent gift for anyone looking to get more protein into their diet or switch up the current protein powder they are using.  You can use my discount code “RABBIT” for 20% off your purchase of any Organifi product.

18. Avocado oil

avo oil.jpg

Avocado oil is one of my favorite oils to bake and cook with.  It has an excellent Omega-3 to Omega-6 fat ratio (lots of monounsaturated fat) and can withstand pretty high cooking temperatures.  Chosen Foods Avocado Oil is one of my favorite brands.  It is non-GMO, cold pressed and naturally refined.  You can buy it online, but I typically get it from Costco.

19. Grass Fed Collagen or Gelatin

Collagen has gotten a lot of hype lately in the health and wellness community, and for good reason!  This supplement supports healthy bones, joints, hair, skin, nails, and can be beneficial for your gut as well.  I have a few brands I love including Vital Proteins and Great Lakes.  They offer Collagen that is flavorless, odorless and dissolves in hot or cold beverages.  (Vital Proteins also offers flavored collagen!)  I use it [almost] daily in my coffee each morning.  I recommend this supplement to pretty much anyone and everyone!

20. Epsom Salt

Any time I take a bath, adding epsom salt is a must!  This salt is great for revitalizing muscles, easing aches and/or pains, and soothing tired feet.  This product would go great with a self-care themed gift.

21. Be Well Company Skin Care

I discovered Be Well Company this past year and am in love with their skin care products.  My favorite product is their Organic Cleansing Facial Oil which has a mild lavender scent and keeps my face smooth and hydrated.  All of their products are organic, alcohol free, non-toxic and only made with real ingredients.  Use can use the code “RABBIT” for 15% off your purchase.

22. Pinnertest Food Intolerance Test

This may seem like an odd gift to give (well, I suppose you could say that about half of the items listed on here) but I find it one that is highly useful and meaningful.  The Pinnertest is a food intolerance test (read more about it and my experience HERE and HERE) that can help determine which foods you are intolerant to; or in other words, which foods your body is having a hard time properly digesting.  I think this test is great for anyone with unexplained digestive issues, bloating after meals, unexplained tiredness, brain fog, skin issues or constant cravings.  You can get FREE shipping and $60 off their test with Promo Code “RABBIT”.

23. Sunrise Alarm Clock

We just purchased this alarm clock for my son.  He was waking up at an ungodly hour, but having this alarm clock has really helped.  You can adjust the settings so that a light goes off when it is time to wake.  I like the light feature because (unlike noise) it allows my son to sleep in if he wants to – it’s a quiet, peaceful way to wake up 😉

24. Bed Buddy Hot Pad

bed buddy.jpg

I grew up with these nifty little Bed Buddy’s and still have one that I use these days.  These hot (or cold) pads are great for soothing sore muscles, calming an upset stomach, helping with cramps, or simply providing some warmth.  I typically use mine if I have an upset/gassy stomach.  But I also like laying down in bed with it before I go to sleep.

25. Kettle Bells

Last but not least, Kettle bells!  I use these frequently in my workouts and I think they are a great home gym must-have.  There are so many moves you can do with a kettle bell and they don’t take up a lot of space.  This would be a great gift for anyone looking to do more home workouts.
