Be Well Company Skin Care

I’m pretty good at practicing self care when it comes to eating well (for both my physical and mental state) and doing things that I love/provide me with a stress relief (working out, taking a bath, getting extra sleep, blogging…).  But one thing I’m not great at is taking care of my skin.  This is most likely due to the fact that I have never had any skin issues.  Even as a teenager I rarely had breakouts and my skin was fairly clean, blemish-free and just didn’t cause me any worry.  The same is true today, which I attribute to the fact that I eat well, have a good hormonal balance and overall great health.  My one and only complaint is my dry skin, which has recently improved thanks to Be Well Company’s skin care line.  This brings me to the topic of this post: I want to share my experience with their products and why I like them.

I was given the opportunity to sample a couple of Be Well Company’s skin care products.  I chose the Organic Cleansing Facial Oil and Coconut Activated Charcoal Mask.  I didn’t have high expectations because out of the few skin care products I have used in the past, I never liked any.  I literally used hand soap and water to wash my face each and every day, (Hey, it worked for me!) and then applied a small amount of coconut oil to my face after.  But just once after trying these two products I was sold.

Neither product has a strong scent, which is very important to me because I do not like any sort of strong smell (gives me headaches).  The cleansing facial oil has a very mild lavender scent that I actually find quite calming and the charcoal mask’s scent is practically non-existent.  Just once after using the cleansing oil, my face felt smooth and hydrated.  I didn’t even need to use coconut oil after cleaning with this.  The charcoal mask, however, does dry out my skin.  On the days I apply the charcoal mask (a couple times a week) I just dab my face with some coconut oil and it is perfectly fine.  What I like about the charcoal mask is that it really seems to get the grime off my skin.  My skin feels so clean after using it, so the dryness afterwards is completely acceptable by my book 😉

Each of these products is extremely easy to use and contain simple, natural and organic ingredients.  If you are interested in purchasing any of the Be Well Company skin care products you can use my discount code “RABBIT” for 20% off of your first purchase.

Applying these products is simple.  Here is a quick step-by-step process for using the Organic Cleansing Facial Oil and Coconut Activated Charcoal Mask:

Cleansing Oil:

(1) Place a dime sized drop of oil in your palm and then rub it on your face.

(2) Take a wash cloth and run it under hot water.  Wring it out and then place the hot towel on your face.  Let it sit for about a minute.

(3) Use the towel to wipe off any excess dirt/makeup.

Charcoal Mask:

(1) Place a dime sized portion on hand and mix with about 1 tsp water.

(2) Massage on face and let sit for 10-15 minutes.

(3) Rinse thoroughly.

I use the facial oil about every night and the charcoal mask 1-2 times a week.  I often like using the facial oil right before bed to help clean off my makeup and freshen up my skin.  For the charcoal mask, I prefer using it before I take a shower but I often don’t have time for that so I use it at night after the cleansing oil instead.  The charcoal can be pretty messy but don’t worry, it does not stain!  It washes off your skin and sink completely 🙂
