I introduce you today to my take on the “typical” Vegan chickpea brownie. These healthy treats are nut-free, gluten-free, grain-free, egg-free and dairy-free. So, basically free from everything but: chickpeas, seeds, maple syrup, cocoa, vanilla extract, almond milk and salt. These Vegan Seed Brownies are super simple to throw together, quick to bake and deliciously moist! Definitely a treat that will be on repeat at my house.

Un-decorated brownies. Yah, they look pretty boring when they’re not decorated. I highly suggest using a bit of frosting and a sprinkling of seeds to dress them up.

The icing I made was not vegan…I know, I know…I should have thought that out a little better before making it, but we had some heaving whipping cream that needed to be used. Anyway, I made this frosting out of heavy whipping cream and maple syrup. I simply put it in a mini blender and whipped it up. It was SO sweet (that’s what happens when you don’t measure out maple syrup).
