Energy Bites

A couple weekends ago I had a family dinner and made these energy bites for dessert.  Needless to say, they were a hit!  But then again, who doesn’t love something chocolate 😉

In this recipe I used one of my favorite brands of protein powder from Wild Foods Company.  Their protein powder is made from the raw milk of grass fed cows.  It is hormone free, gently processed, sweetened with Stevia and has a great taste.  It is definitely something I would recommend if you are interested in a healthy, high-quality protein powder.

On to the recipe for these treats:

Energy Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw pecan pieces
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 115 grams pitted dates
  • 1 scoop Wild Foods Company Chocolate Protein Powder*

Instructions:

  1. Measure all ingredients and put in food processor
  2. Mix until batter is well blended.  (Batter will be thick and sticky)
  3. Form into balls
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes
  5. Drizzle with melted **chocolate

*Substitute with chocolate plant based protein powder for Vegan option

**I melted dark chocolate chips with about 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil to thin out the chocolate
